Maintaining a successful garden is not a difficult task but there are a few essential tools needed to keep it looking good. You shouldn’t attempt to work with soil, tough roots and prickly plants with your bare hands; a basic set of gardening tools save you from injury down the road.

What are some basic gardening tools I should have?
• Spade
• Hoe
• Watering can
• Shovel
• Shears

A spade is one of the most important gardening tools; it’s nearly impossible to plant anything without preparing the soil first. A spade is a tiny shovel that makes it easy to open up the soil for seed planting or weed uprooting.
